Leroy A. Hanusch, 84, of Eldorado, went to be with his Savior on May 30, 2013.

He was born November 10, 1928 in Williamson County to Walter and Elsa Hanusch.  He was one of five children.

He met the love of his life, Betty Rose Reeder in Sherman Texas whom he married on September 23, 1949. They had two daughters, Glenda Harris and Peggy Williams. Leroy began a waterwell business in the early 1960’s and his two best hands were his grandsons Chad and Stoney. He instilled upon them great work ethics they have carried on to this day. Then there were the granddaughters Kimberly and Misty who had him wrapped around their finger.

In later years his greatest joy was the great grandchildren. He was the proudest “Papa” in the world.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; brothers Ernest, Floyd, and Ray Hanusch; and granddaughter Misty Key.

He is survived by daughter, Glenda Harris, grandson Stoney Harris, wife Kelsey, great grandson Jack Harris, daughter Peggy Williams, husband Jack, granddaughter Kimberly Griffin, husband Cy, great grandsons, Samuel and Charlie Mac Griffin, grandson Chad Williams, wife Cindi, great grandchildren, Paige and Cash Williams, grandson B J Key and great granddaughter Mika Key all of Eldorado, Texas; and his sister Lavern Crump of Sulpher Springs, Texas.

Leroy was an outgoing person and he never met a stranger. He made many friends in his lifetime and will be loved and remembered by many.

Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church in Eldorado.

The family would like to thank the Schleicher County Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
