Three members of the District 6-1A Champion Eldorado Eagles were named this week to the San Angelo Standard-Times All-West Texas 1A Team and as well as the prestigious All-West Texas Super Team.
EHS senior Blaine Mitchell was named to the All-West Texas 1A Football Team as a defensive back. He made the All-West Texas Super Team as a utility player. The 6-1 170 lb. Mitchell was the MVP of District 61A. He played quarterback on the Eagles offense and was a leader on the defensive side of the ball, as well.
EHS senior Hector Reyes was named to the All-West Texas 1A Team and the All-West Texas Super Team as an offensive lineman. At 6-0 and 200 lbs., Reyes was a dominant force along the line of scrimmage where he opened gaping holes and provided numerous down field blocks for Eagles runners all year.
EHS junior Jackson O’Harrow was named to the All-West Texas 1A Team and the All-West Texas Super Team as a linebacker. O’Harrow played much larger than his 5-10 165 lbs. as he tallied 102 tackles on the season, 13 of them for loss. O’Harrow also caused 14 fumbles, recovered two fumbles, blocked a punt and scored a defensive touchdown.
O’Harrow was also named to the All-State 1A Honorable Mention Team at linebacker.
