Eagles nine defeat Ozona 10-2

The Eldorado Eagles Varsity jumped out to an early lead Friday over the visiting Ozona Lions and captured a 10-2 victory.
A two-run single by Will Barker, a Hector Reyes RBI single, and a Lion fielding error fueled the Eagles offense which tallied five runs in the opening stanza.
The Warbird bats came alive again in the third inning. Rico Martinez got things going with a lead-off single. He then stole second and was replaced on first two pitches later when Porras walked. Another walk put Barker aboard to loaded the bases before Reyes singled, driving Martinez and Porras home.
Barker and Reyes each advanced on steals. Bobby Martinez then reached on a fielding error as Barker and Reyes both came home.
The score stood at 9-1 Eldorado at the end of three innings of play.
Ozona managed another run in the top of the fifth and Porras scored the final run for the Eagles in the bottom of the sixth to give Eldorado the 10-2 win.
Jacob Sanchez went the distance on the mound for the Eagles, allowing only one earned run on five hits and three walks in the seven-inning affair.
