Caroline Runge, manager of the Menard County Underground Water District, brought charts, data, and a plea reduce pumping from the Edwards-Trinity Aquifer when she appeared Friday, August 17th at a meeting of the Plateau Underground Water Conservation and Supply District’s board of directors. Runge advised the board that spring flows feeding the San Saba River near Fort McKavett have declined significantly. The springs that feed the Fort McKavett Creek and Clear Creek are fed by water from the Edwards-Trinity Aquifer, she said.
