Dorothy Jean Mabrey, 89, resident of Rosharon, TX passed away July 9, 2018. Mrs. Mabrey was born in San Angelo, TX November 9, 1928 to John Lawrence (J.L.) and Ida Conner Neill.
Mrs. Mabrey joins her husbands Loyce E. (Rett) Mabrey and William (Bill) W. Spurlock. She is preceded in death by her parents,her brother, J.L. (Jack) Neill, Jr., and stepdaughter, MarciaK. Mabrey.
She is survived by her daughters: Rebecca Spurlock Snyder, husband Frederick (Fritz) of Rosharon, TX and Cynthia A. Shannon, husband Kevin of Houston, TX; stepson: Stephen (Steve) Mabrey, wife Ana of Del Rio, TX; unadopted son: Scott Vandenberghe, wife Cherie of Trussville, AL; nieces: Jacqueline Neill Heck, husband Donald of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Stephanie Neill of Kerrville, TX; grandchildren: James Johnson (John) Sollie III, wife, Holly; Kevin Michael Shannon, wife Sarah; Collin Shannon, wife Nicole; Aemelia, Luke, and Eli Vandenberghe; great-grandchildren: Jake and Taylor-O’Neal Sollie.
