James “Clay” Meador surrounded by love ones, peacefully transitioned to God’s loving arms on October 10th, 2018. Clay was a man deeply devoted to his God, family, and loyal to friends. Clay was in the oil and gas industry most all of his adult life. Never met a stranger. Always tried to inspire others to exceed their own expectations and was enlisted in the US Marine Corp Reserves for six years.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Meador, of San Angelo, Texas; his son, Monroe Meador, and wife, Jessica, and granddaughter Caitlyn of San Antonio, Texas; Heather Nicole Meador, daughter and Steve Wilson of Arlington, Texas; Monroe Tumlinson, father-in-law, of Cresson,Texas; Kathy Meador, sister and husband, David of Eldorado, Texas; nephews /nieces: Jonathon Tumlinson, wife, Kourtney, and son Cannan of Waco, Texas; Forrest Meador, and children Caleb and Hailey; Rocky Meador,and children Hunter and Allison,all of Eldorado, Texas; and Travis Meador of Austin, Texas; and numerous cousins.

We welcome all friends and relatives to pay their respects on Sunday, October 14th, 2018, between 2:00 and 4:00 P.M. at Harper Funeral Home, 2606 Southland Blvd, San Angelo, Texas, 76904. The memorial services will be held Monday, October 15th, 2018, at 2:00P.M. also held at Harper Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, 4989 FM HWY 1223, San Angelo, Texas 76905.

We would also like to acknowledge our deep appreciation for the compassionate and special care given by the physicians and staff at Cedar Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation, and St. Gabriel Hospice and Palliative Care of San Angelo, Texas.
