Lola Beatrice Menees McMillan Lasis passed away suddenly on Friday, September 7, 2018, after suffering multiple brain aneurysms at Harris Methodist Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.

Lola was born on February 15, 1937,in Bakersfield, California. She grew up as a true, dedicated Texan however, cheering on her Dallas Cowboys and her Texas Rangers. Lola enjoyed reading, crosswords, bingo and writing poetry. Lola loved family gatherings and was always the life of the party. She was the best at making sure her family and friends always received birthday and Christmas cards every year, which were appreciated and cherished by all. Lola graduated in 1955 from Eldorado High School in Eldorado, Texas. She studied accounting post graduating which later became her chosen career. Lola dearly loved attending the Mias Amigas Celebrations in Eldorado, where she could reconnect with all her friends from school.

Lola Lasis is survived by her son, Doug McMillan of Coleman, Texas, her daughter DeLana Payne, husband Carl and three grandchildren, Matthew, Kollyn and Emily Payne of Hurst, Texas, daughter Dianne Stinson, husband David and three grandsons, Shane, Cody and Trey Stinson of Bowie, Texas. Lola is also survived by her brother Ralph Lee Menees, and wife Myra of Dearing, Georgia, sister Ruby Menees Knight and husband Phillip of Gladewater, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, that loved and adored her, as well as her beloved cousins and cherished friends.

Lola is preceded in death by her young son, Ronald Lynn McMillan, her Mother and Father, Lela and Andrew Menees, her brother Ken Menees and wife Helen, and her sisters, Mary Elizabeth Menees, Emma Lou Chiles, and Juanita Lois Dedman.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A family & friends gathering will serve as a celebratory tribute for Lola this Saturday September15th 2018 from noon until 2:30 p.m. located at 2424 Forest Ridge Dr. Bedford, TX 76021 within the Bedford Public Library- North Meeting Room. Lola’s family ask for your understanding in relation to the venue as available accommodations were minimal within the limited allotted time.
