Laura Mae "Nicky" Nicholson Case

Laura Mae (“Nicky”) Nicholson Case 87, of Eldorado, Texas passed away Wednesday July 22, 2015 at Schleicher County Nursing Home.
Laura was born April 19, 1928 in Silver Spring, Maryland to John and Dorothy Nicholson.
“Nicky” grew up in Silver Spring and then attended college at Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, Maryland. She received a degree as a registered nurse and then continued nursing at Walter Reed in Virginia. She was a very devoted and compassionate nurse which was carried through in her caring for all of her loved ones, friends and all of the many animals she would raise and care for through all of the years. Nicky had a very tender heart for all of Gods creatures and would never give up hope on any of them.
“Nicky” met Fred Case and after a very brief courtship they married and Fred whisked her away her away to a whole new experience moving to Texas and living their remaining exciting years together at the ranch in Eldorado that they both so loved.
Together, Nicky and Fred raised their son Pete and daughter Caroline until they each married and had children of their own, all remaining in Eldorado where Nicky and Fred were given the chance to spend lots of time being involved and teaching their four granddaughters the beauty of country living, the animals and sharing fun and wisdom together as family. Many great times were spent sharing laughter and stories together. Nicky cherished her home on the ranch and was so very proud of her family. She and Fred went on wonderful trips together and just enjoyed being together on the ranch. Nicky’s other love in life was all of her pets or any creature in need, she would use her nursing skills to bring them back and most went on to live long healthy lives.
Nicky’s beautiful smile and tenderness will be forever missed by those who knew her and loved her.
