EHS senior Jessica Garcia placed fourth at the UIL Region 1-2A Cross Country Meet in Lubbock on Monday, October 24th with a time of 12:53.4. That qualifies her to compete at the State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock on Friday, November 4th.

The Eldorado Eagles suffered their first district loss against to the Wink Wildcats on Friday, October 7th in Wink.Neither team could find its footing in the early going. At one point in the first quarter the Wildcats and the Eagles gave up fumbles on three consecutive plays and the game remained scoreless at the end of the first quarter.

The Eldorado Eagles defeated the Water Valley Wildcats 34-12 on Friday, September 30th, in front of a homecoming crowd at Larry Mitchel Stadium. Paul Luna had a big night for the Eagles, scoring three touchdowns, each of them coming on long runs

The Eldorado Middle School combined 7th and 8th grde teams traveled to Water Valley on Thursday, September 29th where they secured a 36-6 victory. Ryder Walker ran for three touchdowns and threw for another as the young Eagles held the junior high Wildcats scorless though three quarters

When the Eldorado Eagles football team take the field on Friday, September 30, 2022, they will be completing a 100-year-long journey that began very near where Larry Mitchel Stadium stands today. The team played its first game on October 7, 1922 on a dusty field somewhere northwest of where the high school gym sits today, perhaps in the area of the football stadium parking lot or practice field.

Eldorado’s 8th grade Eagles ran over around and through the Midland TLCA Eagles 8th grade unit to claim a 44-0 victory. The game began after the completion of the 7th grade Eagles game with the Wall 7th graders and Eldorado wasted no time in imposing their will on the visitors from Midland.

The Eldorado 7th grade football team, defeated the Wall 7th grade B-team 24-0 on Thursday, September 22nd at Larry Mitchel Stadium. Ryder Walker got things going for the 7th grade Warbirds, scoring on a 6-yard run. Yurem Garcia ran to 2-point conversion in to give the Eagles an 8-0 lead at the 7:51 mark in the second quarter.

It was another tough night for the Eldorado Eagles as they hosted the San Saba Armadillos on Friday, September 16th at Larry Mitchel Stadium. The Warbirds’ offense couldn’t gain any traction as San Saba scored four times, once in each of the four quarters, on the way to a 26-0 win.

Eldorado’s varsity cross country teams competed in the Lubbock ISD XC Invitational Meet on September 17th at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock. That’s the same course where the Regional Cross Country Meet will be held on October 24th.

The Eldorado Eagles offense never got going in Sonora on Friday, September 9th. The defensive unit accounted for Eldorado’s only touchdown in the 24-7 loss at Bronco Stadium.

Eldorado Middle School’s 7th and 8th grade footballers saw their first real action of the season on Thursday, September 8th and claimed a pair of victories over the Sonora Colts.

The football was slick and the field was slippery on Friday, September 2nd at Larry Mitchel Stadium in Eldorado as the Winters Blizzards came to town to take on the Eldorado Eagles. The game was delayed three times due to stormy weather and nearby lightning. And, it was still raining when the game finally got underway just before 8:30 p.m.

Eldorado Eagles Cross Country teams participated at the Crane High School Invitational Meet on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022. The Eagles varsity boys placed fourth in the meet behind teams from 6A Midland Legacy and Odessa High School, as well as 2021 state qualifier Crane Golden Cranes.

Nino Tambunga hauled in a 25-yard TD pass from Jason Covarrubiaz on the first play of the second quarter and Ernesto Nava kicked the extra-point to give the Eldorado Eagles a 7-0 lead over the Christoval Cougars on Friday, August 26th, at Jack Pardee Memorial Stadium in Christoval.

e Eldorado Eagles junior varsity football team started the 2022 season in style with a 40-8 victory over the Christoval Cougars JV team at Larry Mitchel Stadium on Thursday, August 25th.

Schleicher County ISD hosted the “Stride on the Divide” cross country meet for high school and junior high runners on Wednesday, August 24th, at the Eldorado Golf Club.

The latest edition of the Eldorado Eagles varsity football team is set to take the field in Christoval Friday night where they will launch their 2022 campaign. It will be a familiar setting between two teams who are more than a little familiar with on another.

The Eldorado Eagles varsity and junior varsity football teams had a good outing on Friday, August 11th as they hosted the San Angelo TLCA Eagles in a scrimmage at Larry Mitchel Stadium in Eldorado.
