Last Thursday morning, April 6, Menard County Sheriff Deputy Ty Gerstenberger initiated a traffic stop on a 4-door Lexus sedan that he clocked travelling northbound 72 mph over the San Saba River bridge. The speed limit in that stretch of US 83 is 40 mph.
