Schleicher County Commissioners met Monday, March 7th, and voted to renew the countywide ban on outdoor fires that had expired on February 28th. With less than a three-quarters of an inch of rain received here since October, conditions across the county are exceedingly dry, elevating the potential for grass and brush fires and hastening the commissioners to renew the burn ban.
