Reuben Cantu Minor of Eldorado, TX went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2021. Reuben was born on February 11, 1932 in Eldorado TX to Jesus and Dora Minor. He was the oldest of four siblings.

He attended A&I College in Kingsville, TX. Dad loved to play baseball and was a left hand pitcher in college. After college, he married his sweetheart Clementina. They had many happy years together and they had five sons. He left his mark in the community in many ways primarily in carpentry and general construction.

He was a member of Iglesia Bautista Oriente in San Angelo, TX where he served as a Deacon and Treasurer. He spent the last four years of his life at the Schleicher County Nursing Home where he was very loved by all the staff and families. He always had a smile on his face and he liked to kid around with the staff and other residents.

Dad is survived by two brothers, Ramiro & Rudy Minor of San Angelo; sons, Jaime and wife Vivian of Flower Mound, Ben and wife Linda of North Richland Hills, Tommy and wife Beverly of Eldorado, Steve Minor of Eldorado, and Homer Minor of Bedford; 10 grandchildren, Mark, Liz, Michael, Brandon, Brence, Bailey, Branda, Christopher, Marci, and Ashtin; seven great-grandchildren, Mya, Leah, Matthew, Madelynn, Aleksi, Saige and Harper.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Clementina, and a sister, Rebecca Perez.

Pallbearers are Bailey, Brandon, Brence, Christopher, Mark & Michael Minor, Nestor Hernandez and Ezekiel (Tico) Robles.

Visitation will be at Shaffer Funeral Home, on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 from 9 AM to 8:00 PM, family will be present after 5:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021 at 1 PM. Graveside services will follow at Schleicher County Cemetery in Eldorado, Tx. at 3:00 P.M.
