Robert Austin Albin is the Valedictorian of the Eldorado High School Class of 2018, according to a statement released by the school on Monday. Albin completed his four years at EHS with a 103.3846 grade point average.

Anthony Olivares is the class Salutatorian, finishing his high school career with a 101.2941 grade point average.

Albin and Olivares will each address their classmates, as well as friends and family who attend the Eldorado High School Commencement Service which is slated for 8 p.m. on Friday, May 25th in Eagle Stadium.

The entire graduating class of 2018 will wear their graduation robes for the first time on Sunday evening, May 20th as they begin their final week of school with a Baccalaureate Service slated for 7 p.m. in the EHS auditorium.

Baccalaureate is a service provided by the Eldorado Ministerial Alliance – an organization which encourages the cooperative ministries of all of the churches of Eldorado. Each year, the local churches work together to plan the service and take turns bringing the message. This year’s speaker will be Father Joseph Vathalloor of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

In addition to the two top graduates, EHS designated 13 members of the Class of 2018 as its Honor Graduates.

Summa Cum Laude graduates are Robert Austin Albin, Caitlin Jalynn Covarrubiaz, Taylor Grace Emmons, Sierra Nicole Forlano, Tyler-Andi Mariah Morris and Anthony Olivares-Esparza.

Other honor graduates include:

Magna Cum Laude – Fatima del Rosario Contreras, Alyssa Moran Edmiston, Emelie Clarisa Estrada, Kraig Natonial Villareal;

Cum Laude – Ryan Daniel Farmer, Norma Alejandra Hernandez and Alyssa Colleen Rinehart.

EHS Honor Graduate Criteria is as follows: Summa Cum Laude - 99.0 grade point average and above; Magna Cum Laude - 97.0 to 98.999 G.P.A.; Cum Laude - 95.0 to 96.999 G.P.A.
