Colleen Rae Luedecke, nee Gibb went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 23, 2023, surrounded by husband, children, Pastor and friend Jan.
Born in Minot, North Dakota on July 24th, 1954 to Colin and Alverta Gibb, she was one of seven siblings, and six step siblings. In 1972 she graduated from Minot High School, and later pursued a degree in Psychology at the University of Southern Colorado.
She met the love of her life, John Luedecke, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They were married on June 16th, 1978 at Salem Lutheran Church, and had just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
Colleen adored teaching children. She was a day care provider, school director/principal, and school teacher. She was always happiest with a room full of kiddos. Colleen lovingly raised three children alongside her loving husband; Travis Luedecke (married to Dawn Luedecke), Nicole Luedecke Martinez (married to Adrian “Ace” Martinez), and Samuel Luedecke (married to Jennifer Luedecke).
The family moved to Eagle Pass, Texas and lived there for 20 years before retiring to the family homestead in Eldorado, Texas. Through out her life she was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend.

If you met Colleen you were and instant friend, and her door to her home was always open. She is loved and will be missed by all, but rest assured she is in Heaven with Jesus.
Funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Eldorado on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at 10 am, grave side and luncheon to follow. Pastor Heyn of Living Water Lutheran Church will officiate the funeral.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. – John 14:1-3
