Robert Louis Geuea, 74, died at his home in Eldorado, Texas on February 6, 2022 after a brief illness. Robert was born November 3rd, 1947 to Frankie and Chester Geuea. He moved, with his family, to Rocksprings when his father became the CP&L representative for the area. He was one of four children born to this marriage, three boys and one girl. He gained another brother and sister when his parents adopted Sue and Hatten.

During the height of the Vietnam War, Robert was drafted into the U. S. Army. He was fortunate in that he was never stationed in the war zone. After his discharge, he returned to Rocksprings for a period of time. He then moved to Hewitt, Texas where he enrolled in ITT. He was always interested in “how things work” and how to improve on them. Another of his interests was ham radio.

He moved to Eldorado sometime in 2012 or 2013 as he had several family members living there.

After his sister Shirlene’s death in 2014, Robert purchased a small plot of land and a mobile home and lived next to Hatten and his partner Dawn. He remained in this home until his death.

In December, 2021, he began to exhibit signs of illness and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma. He was receiving treatment for this thru the VA and Shannon Hospital, both in San Angelo.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother James, his sister Shirlene and brother Hatten Geuea.

Survivors include his brother John of Big Lake, Texas, sister Sue Kepley and partner Tanner of Eldorado, Aunt Joe Nell Leinweber of San Antonio and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
