The San Antonio Food Bank extends donations requests for deer to 29 counties. The San Antonio Food Bank is the only food bank in the country to operate its own wild game processing facility, called Casa Venado, as part of Texas’s Hunters for the Hungry Program. Donated deer are processed, with meat finishing as 1.5 lb ground meat in vacuum sealed bags.
