Umberto Belman Torres, age 71, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31st, 2021. He was born in Eldorado on January 4th, 1950 to Pedro and Maria Torres.

Albert went to Eldorado High School and business school in Abilene. He came back home to marry his high school sweetheart and started working at the Eldorado Woolen Mills. From there he went on to work at SouthWest Texas Electric Coop. He left the Coop to start his own oil field construction business with his brother in law.

Albert was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe where he spent many hours serving the church. He served as President of the Parish Council, member of the Knight of Columbus, Leader of the Youth Group, Choir director, and he assisted with Meals on Wheels.

He was also a sports enthusiast and an avid fan of baseball, football, and golf. He started the Eldorado A’s Semi-Pro baseball team which brought him and others many years of joy.

He is preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Maria Torres.

He is survived by his loving wife Esther Torres, by his daughter Jennifer Huizar, son-in-law Ken Huizar, and the apple of his eye, his grandson Kennedy Huizar. His Sister Sylvia Sanchez and her husband Helidoro and several nephews and nieces.

He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many. He will be truly missed.

· Rosary will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Love Funeral Home

· Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Eldorado, Texas.
