After a lengthy illness Vonnie J. Dannheim was called home to walk beside Daddy again.

She was born in Spooner, Wisconsin on April 23, 1933 to Richard and Iris Faber, and was the youngest of three children. Iris (Sunny) and Harriet (Sis), moving from Wisconsin, Oregon and then California.

In 1952 while attending a Halloween party, Vonnie met her future husband Donald R. (Rusty) Dannheim USN. The couple would soon marry on March 8, 1953. She was a devoted wife to a member of the USN. God blessed them with four children.

After 21 years of service the family retired to Eldorado, Rusty’s birthplace. She was a stay at home mother for many years then decided to join the workforce. A few of her jobs were with Hext Foods, Parker Foods, Oglesby Mohair and our County Library.

Her hobbies included fishing, baking, crocheting, sewing, quilt making, reading and BINGO!

She is survived by her children, Linda M. Thurman, Gail A. Stanley, Richard R. Dannheim and Karen S. Mitchell; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Harriet Titsworth; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a Sister (Sunny) and grandson Daniel Ray Mitchell.

The family requests donations in her name be made to the Schleicher County Service Center or the Schleicher County Library.
