Sue Jones is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Gene Addrin Jones. She was the proud mother of two daughters: Joyce Gail Bonner of Shamrock, Texas, and Becky Ottaberry, along with her husband James of Snyder, Texas. Sue also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Mandy Petrich of Watertown, South Dakota; Addrein Barker of Shamrock, Texas; Creig D. Maifield and his wife Tara of Watertown, South Dakota; B.J. Bonner and his wife Ashley of Shamrock, Texas; Sarah Wall and her husband Jarod of San Angelo, Texas; and Samuel Ottaberry and his wife Julia of College Station, Texas. Born to Rebecca and Jameson Damron on July 13, 1938, in Hardy, Kentucky, Sue cherished her roots. She married Gene A. Jones on November 27, 1963, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and memories. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, General Maynard; her sister, Sadie Roberts, and her husband Jim; as well as her loving mother-in-law, Manon Jones and father-in-law, Ralph Jones; son-in-law, Billy Bonner; and grandson-in-law, Choya Barker.

Sue’s passion for her family, church, and friends was evident in everything she did. Her Kentucky heritage instilled in her a deep love for bluegrass music, leading to many joyful weekends spent traveling to bluegrass festivals in their RV with Gene. She adored her grandchildren, often spending her summers preparing big meals and treating them to buckets of Gandy’s Ice Cream. After relocating to Seminole, she created countless memories cheering on her youngest grandchildren in their sports and activities.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Baptist Church in Seminole or to a charity of your choice.

Sue will be deeply missed, remembered fondly by all who knew her, and celebrated for a life well-lived.
