Eldorado High School track teams competed in the Plateau Relays held at the Larry Mitchell Stadium on Thursday, March 2nd. JV and varsity boys teams both finished in first place with JV finishing with 214 points and varsity claiming 225 points. JV girls finished in third place with 56 points and varsity girls took second place with 159 points.

The powerlifting “Last Chance to Qualify” tri-meet was held in EHS weight room on February 24, 2023. The Eldorado Eagles placed first in the meet with a total of 39 points. Christoval and San Angelo TLC Academy also participated.

First track meet of 2023 Eldorado Eagle and Lady Eagles competed in the Blizzard Relays on February 23rd. Schools participating were Miles, Cross Plains, Eldorado, Winters, Christoval, Concho Valley Track.

The Eldorado Eagles baseball team, coached by William Robledo, opened the 2023 season with an appearance in the Harper Longhorn Tournament on February 24-25.

The Eagle Tennis team attended the Reagan County Winter Classic Thursday and Friday, Feb. 16-17. Both the JV and varsity squads had great outings. They won some tough matches continuing to move along throughout the tournament bracket.

EHS powerlifters competed in the 2023 Ozona Lion Invitational Powerlifting Meet on February 11th in Ozona. In all, 56 girls and 54 varsity boys participated.

EHS senior Braxton Elias signed a letter of intent Monday, February 6, 2023, to play football at Sul Ross State University in Alpine.

The Eldorado Lady Eagles powerlifting team placed first at the Steers Invitational Meet on January 28th in Big Spring. The Eagles boys team placed fifth in the meet.

Eldorado High School hosted one of the first powerlifting meets in the area on Saturday, January 7th in the high school weight room. The quad meet included lifters from Ozona, Junction, Christoval and Eldorado, participating in boys and girls divisions.

The Eldorado Lady Eagles defeated the Three Rivers Lady Bulldogs 77-30 during the San Antonio Spurs Hardwood Series at AT&T Center in San Antonio on Saturday, November 26th. The Lady Eagles are 5-1 this season.

The Eldorado Eagles 2022 football season ended in a flurry of injuries and turnovers on Friday, November 11th at the Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater where the Albany Lions claimed the 48-13 victory and advanced to the Area round of the State 2A Playoffs.

The Eldorado Eagles turned the ball over seven times in their 24-6 loss to the Sterling City Eagles, twice on downs and five more times on fumbles.

Eldorado native and former Eagles standout Korbin Covarrubiaz was called in from the bench on Saturday, September 29th, and led the Sul Ross State University Lobos to a 33-27, come-from-behind victory over the McMurry University War Hawks.

EHS senior Jessica Garcia placed fourth at the UIL Region 1-2A Cross Country Meet in Lubbock on Monday, October 24th with a time of 12:53.4. That qualifies her to compete at the State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock on Friday, November 4th.

The Eldorado Eagles punched their ticket to the playoffs on Friday, October 21st, with a 42-0 rout of the Iraan Braves at Larry Mitchel Stadium in Eldorado.
