Eighteen Schleicher County veterans were treated to a full Thanksgiving meal during the regular meeting of Eldorado Woman’s Club. This luncheon began in 2008 and has been a tradition for veterans ever since. It was held in the First Methodist Church fellowship hall.

The Eldorado Game Association held its annual Game Dinner on Saturday, November 4th, at the Schleicher County Civic Center. An estimated 1,200 people turned out for the dinner, catered by Pit Bar B Que of San Angelo, as well as the raffle that followed. Event organizers said it was a successful night, despite the fact that an internet service outage prevented the event from being live-streamed.

A group of about 50 local landowners an interested citizens met Monday evening, October 23rd with representatives of Apex Clean Energy at the Schleicher County Civic Center. The meeting concerned the Big Trail wind/solar/hydrogen extraction project that is proposed along the Schleicher/Sutton County line.
